Who ever said people are "overrecating" has thier head in the sand and has so much interalized misogyny they need to see a therapist. Heck in the anime Ayato is all "I'm going to be your first experience" and it is implied what he REALLY meant. (Oh it's not rape they are VAMPIRES, and and and.) We all know what the whole "sucking of the blood is a metaphor for. That's just a rape game with window dressing.
I'd really like to play Uta no Prince-sama, too, but it probably has far less chance than even Diabolik Lovers since it's not a property owned by Idea Factory, and I've heard that Broccolli has high licensing fees.
:) The fact that it does have a mobile port done by the same company responsible for the mobile port of Amnesia could be a good sign that it might eventually also wind up on PC (I'm not sure if a PC version of Hakuoki would be in the hands of Aksys (since they have the license for the PSP/3DS/PS3 version) or if PC rights still belong to Idea Factory.
Hakuoki has a mobile version for Android/iOS, too, so if you have a tablet or smart phone, that's an option, and it's on sale today I actually rebought it due to the sale even though I also have it for PSP and PS3. Having a PC version of it would be really convenient. but I rly dunno if I should invest in any of them since I mainly play visual novel-type games. If you're interested in western VNs, take a look at this: The Royal Trap was an OELVN (Original English Language VN), I think. There are enough English forums on that topic on the web though. I could write for hours about different games but this may be a better option.ītw, I don't really know much about mobile games except for Otoko Yuukaku, so I'm the wrong person for it. There are many more but except for the last one, those are the biggest otome companies in Japan. (careful, they mostly have Drama CDs on their frontpage now)Īnd that's what I remembered from the getgo. Or just take a look at the developer's pages: Fuwanovel has a separate list of translated otome games. I suggest to you, that you first try googling something like "otome game forum" or "otome game review" or something like that and take a look at what's there. And I don't even remember where I saved it! That SYK review was in Russian, so I don't think there will be much merit in reposting it on an English forum. Thank you so much for taking the time to write this for us! I was thinking of otome games in general, although if you have something to say about Otomate in particular I'm ready and willing to listen.
